FAQ

How do I use my Refresh and Recover bottle for best effect?

Using your bottle is easy, and there are many ways to do it. Firstly, you can take the lid off and drink from it! For rolling, put the bottle on the ground and roll out the desired body part. We recommend doing it on a soft surface like carpet to extend the life of the foam.

Our bottles can hold weight of up to 120 kilograms.

How often should I roll?

For best results, we recommend you get your bottle out and do some rolling every day! If you are injured or have any other reason to suspect that foam rolling is not a good idea for you, consult a relevant healthcare professional before continuing. It can be done before or after a workout, or at any time during the day—in front of the TV at night is always a popular choice!

What should I roll?

You can roll just about any muscle you’d like. The bottle is not designed for rolling your lower back or head (or your face, but you probably got that). Our favourite places to start are arms, upper back, glutes, hamstrings, and hips. Beyond that, you can follow your own plan and use the bottle like you would any other roller.

Are red marks normal?

Yes, the foam can definitely leave red marks on your skin, as rolling increases the blood flow to that area. You shouldn’t be left with bruises or lasting tenderness—if that happens, reduce the amount of pressure you use.

Can anyone use it?

The Refresh and Recover bottle is designed to be used by just about anyone, but if you are concerned, it’s a good idea to talk to a medical practitioner before starting up a rolling routine (drinking water from the bottle can be done without consulting a doctor). This is especially important if you have any kind of injury or other physical impairment to think about.

Can my bottle be exposed to high temperatures?

Things can get sweltering in a parked car and in direct sunlight during summer. To take the best care of your Refresh and Recover bottle, we recommend keeping it in the shade and taking it out of the car on a hot day as very high temps can cause the foam to lose shape

How do I look after my Refresh and Recover bottle?

As well as keeping it out of extreme heat, as mentioned above, you shouldn’t freeze it, microwave it, or put it in the dishwasher. These things can damage the foam, which will affect its use. You should also avoid putting hot liquids in the bottle—it should contain cold or room temperature liquids only.

To wash your bottle, use a dish brush and some dishwashing liquid on the inside. Avoid submerging the bottle when the foam is on it. If the foam needs cleaning, you can gently slide it off and give it a light scrub in some water.

There is a silicone ring in your bottle which allows it to keep a seal. Ensure that you don’t lose this, as without it your bottle may begin to leak.
